Ingredients:
- StoryBook Creator Plus 3 Software
- Classic Autumn Digital Addition
How to Create:
Drop Paper #4 in Background
FOr the circle Border in Corner:
Create a Circle Shape and fill it with Paper #3. Copy and paste the same circle and in this case I made it a light blue. Enlarge it and place it behind the other to create a matted circle.
It appears dimensional because I applied the NEW 3D filter to the pieces - located in the "Format Ribbon" under "Filters". Locate the 3D Edge and adjust amount to 80, Softness 0 and width 10.
I applied the same filter to the Title "Autumn":
I began with the Embellishment from this kit refered to as "loveliest smile". I cut the word Autumn away from the rest of the quote by utilizing the straight cutter from the "Cut and Fill Ribbon". Then I enlarged the Word Autumn and seperated the individual letters using the straight cutter (or you can use shapes as well to cut pieces apart... sometimes this can be quicker)!
I was then able to change the color of each letter and apply the 3D edge filter to them as well. Once I finished changing colors and adding the filters I grouped the letters back together, copied and pasted the word changed it to white and repeated that 3 more times. I hid all four layers in behind the first layer with the browns and blues (so FIVE Autumn titles all together) and then by using the "Alignment" tool - Located under the "Arrange Ribbon" I was able to quickly align them perfectly one behind the other. (I did this in order to achieve a white border in every direction around the title).
As Jan McCallum shared in one of her fantastic webinars: You select the first white layer and using your arrow keys move it to the left 3 clicks, grab the next and move it up 3 clicks, the next down 3 and the next to the right three and you will have created a lovely frame in all directions, you could even apply shadows to each layer for more drama etc...
FOr the Borders around the Photos:
Just simply create Rectangles with your Shapes. Make them super skinny, and fit them one inside the other).
TIP: To make it easier for moving the little borders around. Once you have a border created... group the two pieces together - copy and paste em' and then use the "Rotate" tool under the "Arrange Ribbon" to rotate the pieces any which direction you want!
To Create the little beige shutter style borders at the top left and bottom right just create a narrow rectangle and change the color to a beige. Then apply the "3D Edge Filter" to it and the "Fuzzy Surface". Copy and paste several and then align and group them together. Place them in the background.
For the little studs just create a small circle and apply a two tone gradient in brown and white. (Locate Gradients under the "Cut and FILL" Ribbon).
For the orange torn paper at the bottom I used Mat #5 paper from the Embellishments in this kit. I just resized it and aplied the "Straight Cutter" Located in the "Cut and Fill Ribbon". When you select the Straight Cutter it will now give you options and the option I used here was the Paper Rip. I angled the rip and played with the depth of the rip and the irregularity etc...
On top of the torn paper I selected Leaf #1, # 3 and #4. I applied the 3D Edge Filter to them and then placed little rectangle pieces with added Fuzzy/Faux Surface and 3D Edge applied to them in order to achieve the look of raffia!
Lastly the Leaf grouping up top is the Acorns Leaves embellishment with the 3D Edge applied to it as well!
Have Fun the NEW Paper Rip Feature and the 3D filter!
