How to create "Candy, Candy, Candy":
1. Create a new custom project sized 5" x 5".
2. When this project is finished you will be folding the paper in half, so you will actually only create a design on the bottom half of the page.
3. Insert Mat #8. Cut the mat to be 5" x 2.5".
4. Insert a new rectangle shape. The color will need to be black and the size of the shape needs to be slightly smaller than your orange mat. Format a wrinkled surface on the black rectangle to give it some texture.
5. Insert the "candy" embellishment from the Trick or Treat addition.
6. Create a new circle shape and make the color purple. Format the texture to have a burlap surface.
7. Create 9 different circles using orange, purple and green. Make them different sizes and overlap the circles to create a row like the example.
8. Insert white stitching from the Baby girl Sewing room kit. Resize and have the stitches go across the row of circles. Copy and past a second row of stitching, rotate and move to desired location.
9. Insert two stars from the Trick or Treat addition.
10. Save the project as a jpeg and print on cardstock. Make sure you cut 5"x5", fold in half.
11. Fill a celophane bag full of desired Halloween Candy. The bag needs to be 5" wide (will be okay if it is a little smaller), the length does not matter. Insert the top of the candy bag inbetween the folded topper and staple the topper to the bag.
How to create "Happy Haunting":
1. Create a new custom project sized 5" x 5".
2. When this project is finished you will be folding the paper in half, so you will actually only create a design on the bottom half of the page.
3. Insert Mat #5. Cut the mat to be 5" x 2.5".
4. Insert Spider Web embellishment and arrange it to be in the right upper corner.
5. Insert a new text box, type in "Happy Haunting". Font is Showcard Gothic, size needs to be 56.
6. Flatten your text and fill the layer with paper #28 from the Primary digital Power Palette. Add a drop shadow to the text.
7. Insert witch hat embellishment and place on the left side of Happy and insert a star over the "n" and "t".
8. Insert #9 squiggly stitch from the sewing room. Resize, copy and paste so you have a frame going around the project.
9. Save the project as a jpeg and print on cardstock. Make sure you cut 5"x5", fold in half.
10. Fill a celophane bag full of desired Halloween Candy. The bag needs to be 5" wide (will be okay if it is a little smaller), the length does not matter. Insert the top of the candy bag inbetween the folded topper and staple the topper to the bag.
Thank you so much for the candy wrapper instructions and these treat bag toppers. I LOVE THIS! Thanks to your instructions, I've already made several candy wrappers using birthday themes and have made some of the Halloween treat bag toppers. Am going to use this idea and create some themed treat bags for the cast members in a play my daughter is currently in. THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Keep 'em coming!!!
