I had a request to come up with a template for customizeable gift card holders, and here it is! They were actually quite easy to create. There are just a few steps involved in downloading & using them, so here we go...
Here's a preview of the blank template you'll be able to download & customize:
To download this customizeable template, RIGHT CLICK HERE, then choose "Save target as". IMPORTANT: There is a good chance that your file will default to download as a .zip file. If this happens, on the lower drop down menu ("Save as type"), pull that menu down and choose "All files". In the box just above this you will see "giftCardHolders". You will now need to add ".page" behind giftCardHolders in that text box (if it is not already there by default). Click "Save" and allow your template to download.
Once your template has been downloaded, create a new 12 x 12 page print project in StoryBook Creator Plus. Once the project is ready to be worked on, click on the "Home" tab, then click on "Import Page". Navigate to the location where you saved the template, click on your page, then click "Get Pages".
You're now ready to decorate your holders. I designed these so the dark grey portions are all one piece, so you can click on that part and fill it all with the same design. You can do the light grey portion separately, then add your TO, FROM and decorations. Save the final version out as a high resolution .jpg file, then print to your printer on photo paper or cardstock.
And... if you don't want to customize them yourself, here's a high-resolution version of pre-decorated ones just or you. All you have to do is download and print!
now THIS is an awesome freebie!! LOVE the .page files. You should do this more often. This is a rockin' freebie!

One thought -- maybe this should be an 8.5x11 project. I can't print 12x12's at home. Just thought about that.

For the 12x12 it can be imported into an 8x8 and printed at home :) Thank you for this it is AWESOME!

Yes, please make it an 8.5 x 11. I had to move everything around, delete some of the patterns, just to print it on my home printer. Love the idea, but it was too small when I printed it on my computer. I don't know if it shrunk from the 12" to the final version on my printer.

Thanks everyone :) They're pretty easy to do - and fun!
Debbie - make sure you type in ".page" after the name of the file in the first line. Just tested it here at home and it works fine as long as you type in ".page" after the name.
To scale it down from a 12 x 12 project, pull it in according to the instructions, and then you could just copy & paste the templates onto an 11 x 8.5 template. Just copy one and paste it 3 times - i think it'll fit on that size page. Or you could make your project whatever size you want to print it at.
If you scale it down to an 8x8 the templates won't be quite big enough to fit a gift card inside - just be aware of that.
Again thanks for the comments - this one was really fun.

When you click on the home tab, and click "Import page" it's not showing up?
Did you create a new 12 x 12 sized project?

It sounds like people are having a hard time downloading the template... you have to save it to a place where you can retrieve it easily.... then open Storybook, create a new project 12x12 page print.... label your new project "Templates".... once in your new project, click on "Import Page" from the home ribbon.... you should find the template there and you should be able to use it....
Have fun!!!
