To use the freebies and your own images in SBCStudio
- In the upper right corner click on “create package” when prompted name the package and click Create.
- Now click on “Manage Packages” You should see your new package now
- Head back to the digital freebies page: http://projectcenter.creativememories.com/digital/digital-freebies/
- Click on the words: 'Download by clicking here'
- When your download finishes double click on it. Your zipped file contents should open in Finder.
- Click on the blue sbcStudio icon in your tray
- Click on the finder window, arranged them so that you can see the white square for your newly created package and the contents of the zipped file.
- Drag and drop them from the zipped file into your sbcStudio package.
- Once they are added there, they will be accessible with the rest of your content.
NOTE: You can can trash the zipped file that you downloaded and the unzipped file you pulled the files from, when you added them into SBCStudio they were copied into a folder within the application.
Thanks for the directions. I wanted to add to them a bit, in case someone is still new to the program.
First go to your content manager. Windows->Content Manager
For step #1, click on "+" on the bottom left side of the page
For step #2, that's the row of tabs near the top on the right side. Make sure you select "Paper" for jpgs and "Embellishment" for pngs.

thanks for the expanded instructions Kimberly. I've just downloaded the trial of the program and have been very frustrated by the poor instructions. clearly written by someone who is very familiar with the program and probably isn't actually looking at the screen that the user sees. sometimes the instructions refer to an option that is 2 menus deep without telling you the sequence of steps to get to it. I've worked with Adobe so have been able to muddle through, but I think a true novice to photo handling would give up. still haven't decided whether i'm going to persist.

I also want to thank you for the expanded instructions. I hope we are going to see better instructions and support for sbcStudio soon. There are lots of us out here that are frustrated!

ok, since I can not delete my posts, i have to post again, is this for MAC's only???? maybe that should be specified in the title so people like me aren't trying to figure out what to do

Hi Rhonda, Yes SBC Studio is the name of the Mac Program, SBC Plus is the Windows Program, to find instructions for importing freebies into SBC Plus go to the freebies and in the paragraph under the download link you will find links to all versions including SBC Plus. Hope this helps :)

thanks, I already know how to do that but when I came upon this today, ,I was just confused because I hadn't paid any attention to the MAC stuff since I don't have a Mac, so that was my fault! I was just thinking there was some new software that I didn't know about at first! sorry for the confusion!

How do I get the Freebies from my download folder to the sbcStudio program?
Posted by: Thefords | January 08, 2011 at 09:53 PM
I'm using the 30 day free trial version of sbcStudio. Can I only download the freebies with the purchased version?
Posted by: Thefords | January 08, 2011 at 10:01 PM
You are able use the freebies with the free trial, you import them the same way as shown in this post, once they are downloaded and have them unzipped (or unpackaged) and are able to get to them in a finder window, you open SBCstudio and start with step one as shown above. Hope this helps :)

Is it possible to import jpeg and png files (not from creative memories) into the trial version of sbcStudio? If so, please let me in on the secret.

When can we expect the Mac sbc videos, information and announcements to be updated? One of the videos says that the pre-designed template pages are to come out in January? Where are there or when can they be expected?

Are there any packages for the MAC with Christmas designs?

Hi - I have recently downloaded the 30-day trial version. Are there some features that are only accessible by purchasing the program? Some of the features don't seem to be working.
