Ingredients (Canada):
- StoryBook Creator 4.0 Software
- Digital Embellishments: Elements
- Down to Earth Digital Kit
- Distressed Digital Overlays
- font: All used up
How to Create:
- Make the background black.
- Add your first picture to the page and flatten it. Take the custom cutter and cut around the focus of the picture (I cut around my son) leaving a bit of a border. (Don't worry about being too precise because we are going to fix it!) Now take the Soften edge filter and soften the edge of the photo as shown. Place it in the bottom left corner of the page as shown. Take your next 2 photos and do the same thing. Place them as they work in the corner as shown.
- Now take a larger photo and do the same thing with cutting around it and softening the edge. Change it to black and white and place it behind the other photos as shown. Take the opacity down to the desired amount (it looks great it you take it way down too jut make sure you can still see it on the black background).
- Add the Ribbon embellishment from the Down to Earth Digital kit. Place it at the very bottom of the page behind the colored photos and on top of the big background photo. Change it to black and white.
- Place the Wire embellishment from the same kit on top of it and change it to black.
- Now take the Barbed wire embellishment from the Digital embellishments Elements and add it to the page behind the wire you just added. Shadow it with the all around shadow. Flatten it and shadow it over and over until you get the desired amount.
- Place the Cardboard embellishment from the down to earth Kit onto the page and enlarge it to the size of the other embellishments you have placed on the bottom of the page. Make sure it is behind the colored photos as well. Change it to black and white and place it behind the ribbon embellishment as shown.
- Now add the Elements Mesh Metal embellishment from the Digital Embellishments Elements behind the cardboard so it is in the background as shown.
- Place the elements paint splotch embellishment from the same kit onto the right bottom side of the page on top of the layered embellishments you have already placed on the page.
- Using the Distressed Digital Alpha set write the word “Spookers” and add it to the page. Right click on it and ungroup the letters. This will make each letter a separate embellishment. Delete the two “o's”. Use the circle shape to create a white circle. Now place a smaller circle in green on top to create and eye. Group them together. Copy and paste it so you have 2 of “eyes”. Place them in the word for the “o's” you deleted. Change the color of the other letters to black and white. I played with the brightness and light of the letters to make them stand out a bit more. Take the letters and turn them and move them to make them look a little more haphazard as shown. Group everything together and shadow the whole word. Flatten them and shadow them again and again to make them stand out as desired. I think I did it around 7 or 8 times to make it look like it does. Then add a white glow on the outside so that the letters stand out on the darker background. Now add a Fractal Map filter to the word and play with the settings to get your desired effect.
- Use the All Used Up font to write the word “L'il” in white and add it to the page as shown. Shadow it so that it stands out with the all around shadow.
- Use the same font to write “Halloween 2011” and place it on the top left side of the page as shown.
- Place the Distressed Digital Overlays 2 on the page and change it to white. You may need to put it behind certain elements and photos of your page and on top of others. Play with it.
