How to Create:
- Open a blank 12x12 page. From the Jewel Heritage Addition select the paper with large circle, Paper4 and add to page. Go to Arrange>Rotate and rotate the paper once to the right, so the colored strip of paper is on the left hand side.
- Insert an empty photo frame and make sure it’s square (check Aspect ratio!). Then go to Format Photos>Frames>Mat and under Cutout select an ellipse shape (circle!), this will change your photo to a circle. Click on Change mat fill> Select a Color and move the Opacity slider to zero, (you will see black and white checkerboard), click accept and this will make the square mat transparent. Drag in your photo. Line up the circle photo over the circle mat on the paper, leaving the scalloped edge showing.
- To make a tag with the wordart: add the wordart “We do not remember days” and fill with a color. I selected a blue from my photo. Go to Insert>Content>Shape>Circle and create a oval which will fit over the wordart vertically. Then create a rectangle which will cover the wordart horizontally. Fill them with a cream color. Arrange the wordart over top and align all 3 elements by going to Arrange>Alignment both vertically and horizontally. If you need to tweak the position of the wordart a bit more, you can use your arrow keys to move it a bit at a time. Select the oval and rectangle and flatten them (>Arrange>Grouping>Flatten) then go to Format>Effects>Filters>Soften Edge and soften the edge a bit.
- Add a few more embellishments from Jewel Heritage: flowertag3, key1, key2, postage2, postage3, letter and watch. Make a small grouping on the right hand side of the photo: use the watch, the letter the flower tag and add the wordart on the tag.
- Enlarge key 1 and place it on the left hand upper corner of the photo. Under this key, add the two postage stamps. Add key 2. Fill in the left side strip of paper with images of keys...I used 3 key sticker embellishments, then selected the different keys and made rubber stamps of them. Use the Rotate icons (under Arrange) to rotate the keys so they all look slightly different, and resize them. Under the postage stamps, I stacked the rubber stamps of 3 key #1’s so it almost looks like the cancellation stamp on postage stamps. Change the colors of some of the keys. I made one key green, which I did in Cut&Fill>Color and in the drop down menu, you can click sample a color then pick a color on the page...the green from the postage stamp.
- Now for the title: insert a text box. I used a font called Love Ya Like a Sister from dafont.com and sized it at 56. Type in the word Remembering. Select only the “e” and change it to the color you used on the wordart, I used blue and the rest of the word was black. Create another text box and type in “is the key” and place underneath the word remembering. To make the words stand out a bit from the photo, I gave them a custom glow. Go to Format>Shadow>Custom>Select a custom glow then select a Color=cream and softness=0 expansion=1.3 Insert another text box for the bottom of the page to do some journaling. I used Microsoft Sans Serif size 12.
