Meet Rhonda

RI

In 1987, Montana homemaker Rhonda Anderson was asked by her sister to give a crafts workshop at a local church group. Rhonda reluctantly agreed to demonstrate her photo keepsake album techniques for the group.

The overwhelming response to that workshop led to home demonstrations and eventually the founding of Creative Memories with Minnesota businesswoman Cheryl Lightle. In the beginning, Rhonda ordered photo albums in bulk and filled orders out of her garage. Today, Creative Memories is a worldwide direct-selling company with state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, 500 employees and 55,000 independent sales consultants in 10 countries.

Rhonda describes the launch of Creative Memories in 1987 as a leap of faith that has led her on a 22-year faith journey. As a young woman, Rhonda’s goal was to become a self-supporting missionary along with her husband, Mac. They soon discovered that helping families preserve and celebrate their unique family stories through photo albums was their true life’s calling.  Click here to meet Rhonda's family.

Rhonda’s faith has always been central to her life. In 2000, her faith and her albums came together in a new style of album making she calls “faithbooking.” Weaving together personal spiritual stories with photos, scripture verses and inspirational quotes, faithbooking emphasizes the importance of remembering the extraordinary faith moments that change lives.
