Hello fellow Faithbookers,
I am so excited to let you know of a new presentation I have just completed.
Like many of you, I have found that our past Faithbooking information has not
been motivational enough to inspire people to make the time to create a
Faithbook. I have been praying and seeking a solution that would provide the
needed “spark” to really move people to action. I believe we now have that
spark.
This newest presentation inspires people to create an affirmation/faithbook.
Basically it is an album that does two
things: affirms and builds self-esteem AND encourages and increases faith.
In the presentation, I share some startling statistics about the
epidemic of low-self esteem and how it is damaging our children. I also give
documentation regarding the small percentage of children that will grow into
adulthood with their faith intact. (Most kids abandon their faith by
adulthood). I have also added some alarming statistics about alcohol
abuse.
This new album concept with a new
set of Ten Questions equips parents and grandparents to create an album that
will build self-esteem and boast a child’s faith, no matter their age. No
parent wants to see their child suffer and this album is one more tool for
parents to help them raise strong, faith-filled children.
I gave this presentation TWICE in September and received a very encouraging
response. One other comment that I made to the listeners was this: “Don’t think in your mind that you will do
something with every picture that you have ever taken. We take too many
pictures and we don’t need that many pictures. The best option is to find SOME
pictures that you can use to document meaningful stories in your life. You will
feel a huge sense of accomplishment when you create ONE album with some of your
pictures rather than believing that someday you will successfully organize all
of your photos”.
I hope you’ll read through the presentation and questions. You’ll notice I
share several personal stories. You
are free to use my stories or to be even more effective, find some of your OWN personal stories to use in the presentation
instead of mine. And, please feel free to change this presentation to fit
your style and passion. I hope I have given you the basis of a very effective
concept.
Your next step would be to contact MOPS groups, women’s groups, adoption
agencies, etc to share this valuable information. To also help you, I have
posted a few pages within the presentation from a Storybook I completed using the new Ten Questions. (I
would be happy to send you a link so that you can see the entire book, if you
would like.)
Please let me know if you have any questions or comments. To locate the presentation that I give, please click here. To see the 10 questions I ask, please click here. Let’s share our
experiences with one another as we bring this new message to audiences this
fall.
Thanks again for your passion for faith and affirmation!
