Jennifer said... "Background is a blue paper from the Primary Christmas Power Palette. I then added a large white rectangle and opaqued it. Then I added the strips of paper in the background. I started with a photo box, stretched it out, then matted it with a light blue. I then filled the photo box with Paper from the “Jewel Christmas PP”. I then copied and pasted seven of them and rotated and changed size of some as well.
The little circle glass bubbles around the circle is an embellishment I made. I originally grabbed a glass circle from the “Little Boy” Predesigned Pages. I created a circle from the shapes tab and then put the glass bubbles all along the edge of the circle to form a “glass circle”. I saved it as its own embellishment and now I can use it again and again. In this case I change the color to create the look.
In the centre I created a white circle – framed it with a black circle from the “Doodles” enhancement kit and then formed the letters one by one around the circle (you must create text boxes for each letter and then rotate). However you can save time by creating one word and then group the letters together, copy and paste and then ungroup and change the letters. The writing on the inside (in red) is the exact same just copied and pasted, changed to red and shrunk down). The inner dotted circle was also stolen from another embellishment (I wanded out the circle with the dots).
The Metal circle is from the “New” Best Buds and Blush Blooms CD. As is the the lettering for “{Merry}. I also used many of the Overlays from the Best Buds CD and change them all to white in order to create a distressed look. The scalloped edges were stolen one of the predesigned “Vintage” Pages. The ribbon is from the “Recipe Digital Kit”.
I also added several titles in the background (some were from the “Candy Cane” PP and some were from the “Jewel and Primary Christmas”.
The swirls in the background behind the entire circle were taken from the “Primary Christmas PP” I wanded it out of the Title “Merry Christmas” and then cut it in half with the straight cutter to separate them behind the circle. Whew... lots of work for a Card but the results are FUN!"
