Yuletide Memories Nordic Scrapbook Layout Project Idea

How to Create:
Start with sheet of white, flowery patterned paper from the Nordic line (in fact, all the products on this layout are from the Nordic line) as the background for the layout.
Crop a sheet of red patterned paper 10.5” wide x 10.5” tall. Adhere to the center of the white background patterned paper.
Then crop a sheet of blue patterned paper 10” wide x 10” tall. Round all 4 corners with the Corner Maker. Sand the edges if desired (this will bring out the cool white core of the patterned paper). Adhere to the center of the red patterned paper.
Use 2 of the dark red, flowery photo mats to mat a single photo as well as your journaling. Sand edges, if desired. Adhere these photo mats (aligned vertically) so that they are 2” down from the top of the layout and 1.5” from the right and left sides of the layout.
Crop your photo to desired size and then mat with a red photo mat. The picture here is 3” wide x 4” tall and the red photo mat is cropped to 3.5” wide x 4.5” tall. Adhere matted picture to the center of the dark red photo mat on the left side of the layout.
Create a journaling block with red and blue photo mats the same size as the matted photo. Adhere journaling block to the center of the dark red photo mat on the right side of the layout.
Embellish the top right corner of the photo mat with 2 layered poinsettia stickers from the Nordic line. Then use black pen to add journaling.
Trim a strip of red patterned paper to 11.75” wide x 1.5” tall. Cut a dovetail in each end of the strip. Adhere 0.5” below the dark red photo mats.
Mat the “Yuletide Memories” sticker with white cardstock. Adhere with foam squares to the center of the red strip.
Now you have to do a bit of “fussy” cutting! Grab another dark red photo mat and hand cut 2 red poinsettias. Adhere, with foam adhesive one, poinsettia to the bottom left corner of the picture. Use the 2nd hand cut poinsettia to embellish the bottom right corner of the “Yuletide Memories” sticker.
