Create this bowl filled with 3-D decorative paper balls for a bright, bold Valentine decoration!
How to create:
Jen created bowl by purchasing a paper bowl, then disassembled it and traced the parts onto cranberry cardstock. She then trimmed the parts out, reassembled the original bowl and adhered the cut out parts to the original bowl.
Punch heart shapes from pink lemonade cardstock using Sweet Heart Maker, then adhere to bowl using Precision Point Adhesive.
Trim rim of bowl with ribbon, trim or cording. Fill bowl with cardstock strips and paper balls (instructions for creating decorative strips and balls below).
To create ball shapes:
Punch or cut circle shapes (using Circle Maker or Custom Cutting System with Circle Patterns) from various patterned papers. Fold edges of circle shapes in to create "triangle" shape in center of each circle. Assemble ball together by adhering small folded "edges" together. (Note: you will use 20 circle shapes per ball). Add punched heart shapes, doodling or stickers to smooth surfaces on each ball to decorate.
To create paper strips:
Run cardstock paper through paper shredder, or cut into thin strips using paper trimmer. Gently curl strips by running along sharp edge of scissors. Fill bowl with curled paper strips before placing paper balls into bowl.
Project created using Primary Valentine Power Palette Additions, Cardstock - Cranberry, Pink Lemonade, Taffy, Sweet Heart Maker, Circle Maker, Custom Cutting System with Circle Patterns, Tape Runner, Precision Point Adhesive, Paper Bowl, Ribbon (or Trim or Cording), Paper Shredder (or Scissors or Paper Trimmer).
