Wishes Project Idea #31

TagThese adorable gift tags are easy to create, and can be reprinted at the click of a mouse!  So easy!

How to create:

Create new 4 x 6 Portrait project. Section off the new project into three 2 "x 4" inch sections.

For the top section, I used Paper 11. Size paper to fit. Add Strip 1 to page, size to fit. Copy, Paste and Flip tag. Crisscross tags over each other; apply heavy shadow to top tag and light shadow to bottom.

Add Flourish 2, flip and change color to silver by changing the hue (Enhance Tab at top of screen, Hue). To change the hue you will need to select the color white, then slide the saturation and intensity to get the silver color that you want. Next using the Cutting tools, cut the Flourish to give the appearance that it is wrapping over the Strip and pull layer behind (Elements, left side of screen) to fall behind strips.

Add Star Brad 2 to each strip (make sure that the Star Brad on bottom strip falls below top strip). Add type (Font, Papyrus Bold).

For the middle section, I used Paper 7, size to fit. Add Star Cluster to right side of tag (found in Digital Freebies) size to fit. Copy, Paste and Flip and add to left side of tag. Add Star 1 to Tag, size to fit. Copy, Paste 3 more, line up along left side of Tag (use the Alignments under Layout Tab to assure they are evenly spaced and lined up). Add text (Swirly Digital Alphabet).

For the bottom section, I used Paper 14, size to fit. Add Flourish White, size to fit top left corner. Copy, Paste, Flip and add to bottom right corner. Star bling was cut from Flourish White, Copy, and Paste. Add text (Font, Adorable)

Project created using StoryBook Creator Plus Software, Wishes & Dreams Kit, Swirly Digital Alpha Set (Available April 1) and star cluster Digital Freebie (click here to get freebie).

  2. Add picture of choice (for this page I used Ryan’s christening pictures).  Place on blank page.
  3. Enlarge to desired size by grabbing corner and dragging.
  4. Wand out background (Tool tab at top of screen, Wand under Cutters).
  5. Soften edges of picture (Tools tab at top of screen, click More under Effects, click Edge Blur, choose softness but click preview first to make sure you have the look you want, and then click Accept).
  6. Next Opaque picture (Click Opacity under Effects, use slide to opaque to choice, you will see picture opaque on page as you use the slide).  Move picture over leaving 4” on right side of page (use Rules at top of screen).
  7. Add verbiage of choice (Text tab at top of page, click Place Text On Page, size box, click Create).  Verbiage for this page: May God bless and keep you always.  May your wishes all come true.  May you always do for others, And let others do for you.  May you build a ladder to the stars, And climb on every rung.  May you stay forever young.  May you grow up to be righteous.  May you grow up to be true.  May you always know the truth, And see the lights surrounding you.  May you always be courageous.  Stand upright and be strong.  May you stay forever young.  May your hands always be busy.  May your feet always be swift.  May your heart always be joyful, And may your song always be sung.  May you stay forever young.
  8. Using Paper Trimmer, cut Blue Polka Dot paper, from Wishes and Dreams, to 8-1/2" X 12". Place this piece in printer and print photo on to it (Home tab at top of screen, under Project click Print).
  9. Mount Blue Polka Dot paper to right side of White cardstock.
  10. Cut three photos to 3-1/2" square.  Mount on Cloud cardstock, trim leaving small edge.  Mount on to White cardstock, trim leaving small edge.  Mount on Light Silver Shimmery paper, trim leaving small edge.  Repeat this for each picture.  Cut 3 pieces of Cloud and Light Silver Shimmery Paper into ¼” x 3” strips. Fold in half and cut edges diagonally.  Overlap strips and glue one strip of each behind each photo on left side.  Mount to right side of page, for bottom picture use Foam Squares to mount.
  11. Using tearing tool, tear edge of White cardstock and place on top of Blue Polka Dot paper at edge of verbiage and trim flush to fit left side of page.
  12. Place Gray Swirl paper at left edge of page (make sure the edge is with the swirls and foil stars to left of page) with tearing tool tear at desired location, making sure that the torn edge of White cardstock shows.
  13. Using the Disney Magic Maker, punch star in gray swirl paper near torn edge and cut small piece of Cloud cardstock and place behind star punch.
  14. Place Special Moments sticker on Dark Silver Shimmery paper, trim and mount on Light Silver Shimmery paper leaving small edge.  Mount to lower left side of page using Foam Squares.

Wishes Project Idea #25

Wishes and Dreams Wall Print - web sizeCreate an adorable wall print of that special little someone in your life - the Wishes & Dreams Kit is perfect for this!

How to create:

  1. Add Photo to Wall Print (Stretch by holding your shift key and grabbing the cropping squares to enlarge) Stretch it large enough to fit half or more of the Wall Print.
  2. On the bottom Portion I added Paper 11 from Wishes and Dreams.
  3. Atop the Photo I added Overlay #1 and changed the color to white.  I also added a light shadow.
  4. In order to prevent from covering portions of the photo with areas of the overlay... I selected the overlay and then cut small portions away by using different shape cutters found under the “Tools”>”Cutters” and then drop down the menu of shapes... sometimes an oval worked other times a small circle.  Use the shapes that work best for you in order to cut away the overlay, this way you don’t cover important areas of your photo.
  5. I then added the text “When you... Upon a Star with the Blush Blooms Alpha set.  (Note: be sure to ungroup the letters in order to adjust letters... this way you can make the First letter in your words larger than the rest!)
  6. In the center I added a Black Rectangle Shape along with two narrow white shapes (do this easily by selecting “Shapes” in you right hand selction of Tabs on your screen) and then select along the very top “create a rectangle”).
  7. In order to give a Metallic look to the white narrow rectangles apply a two tone “Gradient” (do this by going to the Tools ribbon then selecting “Gradient” make your first color white and your second color darkest charcoal).  I also added the “Small Burlap” texture to them.
  8. Inside this black Rectangle I also added two lines of stitching (Stitch #6) from the Sewing Room – Stitches Digital kit
  9. Beneath the “Wish” title I added two of (“flourish #1) and rotated one of them.
  10. I added 3 more photos and cut them into circles using the Cutting Tools (note: you will have to flatten these photos).
  11. I added a mat as well as a little “Bling” (click here to download bling freebies) around these photos.  The glass circles were created using one single glass circle I saved from a predesigned page in our Free “Baby Love” theme - available to you as a free download.
  12. I also added little stars around these photos as well.  These I wanded out from the “Reach for the Stars” title embellishment.
  13. Lastly I added the Title Box using recipe card #1 from the “Recipe Digital Kit” along with Eyelet #1 from the Wishes and Dreams, flourish #2 on either side of the eyelet and brad #2 from the recipe kit on the inside of the eyelet.
  14. And VERY lastly the Font used for the lyrics to the song... when you wish upon a star... is Broken Ghost!

Project created using StoryBook Creator Plus Software, Wishes and Dreams Digital Kit, Blush Blooms Alpha Set, Recipe Digital Kit (for text box) and Digital Embellishments Sewing Room – Stitches.
