Grunge Project Idea of the Day - July 19, 2009

Use our new Grunge-themed products to create an adorable girlfriends night out layout.

How to create:
Cut a piece of Cement Cardstock to measure 10" square. Adhere to center of postage-stamp patterned decorative cardstock piece.

Cut a piece of orange patterned paper to measure 9-3/4" x 4".  Lightly crinkle this piece in your hand, then flatten out and adhere along bottom of cement square.

Cut a piece of light blue photo mat to measure 3" x 5". Adhere to upper right corner of cement square. Trace along edges of this piece using Fine-Tip Pen (Cocoa). Add journaling to this piece.

Using Custom Cutting System with Circle Patterns, cut (for this shape, you will first make a cut using inside of largest template with red blade, then once this hole is cut, remove first template and make a second cut outside the first cut, using outside of smallest template with red blade - you should set templates slightly offset so ring that is left isn't a perfect circle). Adhere ring to upper left of page layout as shown.

Adhere two photos (trimmed to measure 5" x 3-1/2") to layout as shown. Adhere title sticker above top photo.

Adhere monogram and letter stickers (omitting "O" in the word "ROCK"). Using Custom Cutting System, cut (for this cut, use inside of largest circle template with green blade) circle from grey photo mat. Using Foam Squares, adhere circle where "O" in title would go. Adhere "Rock 'n Roll" title sticker to center of circle.

To create orange "cloverleaf" pattern, using Circle Maker, punch four small circles from Spiced Cider Cardstock. Trim a corner piece into each circle (this can be done by first cutting one, then layering it on top of each of the others and cutting). Trace along edges of each trimmed shape using Round-Tip Pen (Cocoa). Adhere together in cloverleaf shape onto light blue photo mat. Trim around shape using scissors. Adhere to page.

Adhere flowers to page as shown to finish.

GREAT layout. Love seeing how the new decorative card stock works in a layout. I would love to see more traditionals layouts using these new cut-out patterns.
