Back to School Project Idea of the Day-August 31, 2009

Create a layout about your children and their closest friends. 

How to create:

Use royal blue decorative cardstock as the base for this layout. 

Cut piece from red patterned paper to measure 10"x10".  Adhere to layout. 

Using Tearing Tool, tear light blue patterned paper.  Adhere to layout. 

Using Tearing Tool, tear "notebook" paper, and adhere to top of light blue torn paper. 

Print 4"x6" photo.  Mount on yellow photo mat. Adhere to layout.

Print 4-1/4"x3-1/2" photo.  Mount on piece of blue paper measuring 4-3/4"x3-3/4".  Adhere to layout. 

Cut a piece from yellow paper 2"x4-1/4".  Adhere to layout.  Cut red patterned paper to measure 4"x1-3/4".  Adhere to top of yellow paper. 

Mount clear title sticker on yellow paper.  Cut this piece to measure 1-1/2"x2-1/2".  Adhere to the top of the red patterned paper using Foam Squares. 

Using Circle Maker, punch smaller circle from red paper, and larger circle from blue paper.  Adhere red piece to the top of the blue circle.  Adhere to layout. 

Using Galaxy Micro Maker, punch burst from yellow paper.  Adhere to top of punched circle using Foam Square. 

Place Simple Black Monogram stickers on yellow paper.  Use All Purpose Scissors to trim around letter, leaving approximately 1/4" border.  Adhere to layout using Foam Squares. 

Cut notebook paper into 1/2" strips.  Adhere to layout. 

Use black pen to journal and doodle along outer edges of layout, as well as outer edges of photo mats. 

Project created using:  Basic Decorative Cardstock, Primary High School Addition, Simple Black Monogram Stickers, Galaxy Micro Maker, Circle Maker, All Purpose Scissors, Tearing Tool, Foam Squares, and black pen.
