Oh, Canada Scrapbooking Layout - Traditional Tuesday July 3, 2012

How to Create:

1. Use Midnight Shimmer Cardstock as the base.
2. Cut the white embossed paper from Mediterranean Market Paper Pack to 11-1/2" x 11-1/2" and adhere to the base.
3. Crop three photos to 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" and three more 2" x 2-1/2" and mat them all with Cranberry Cardstock.
4. To make the banner pieces cut strips of Midnight Shimmer Cardstock, Enchanted Embossed Paper, Enchanted Designer Print Paper, Divine Tone on Tone Paper, and Cranberry Cardstock to 1' wide and vary the length from 2" to 1-1/2" Stack the shorter ones on the longer ones using Foam Squares.
5. Use the All-Purpose Scissors to free hand cut a triangle pennant. Punch a heart with the Loveable Mini Pocket Punch and adhere to the pennant.
6. Punch out red, white and black stars using the Star Place 'n' Punch and stack them using Foam Squares.
7. Stack a white Enchanted Paper Flower on top of a black Divine Paper flower and adhere a red Enchanted Epoxy sticker to the center.
8. For the title use the back of a Reflections Paper Tag and add 'Oh,' using the Enchanted Decorative ABC Stickers and 'Canada' using the Black Simple ABC 123 Stickers. Add Enchanted Epoxy Stickers and stitch marks around the perimeter using the Red Dual-Tip Pen.
9. Round the corners of an Enchanted Storybox using the Corner Maker. Journal using the Black Dual-Tip Pen.
10. Arrange all elements as you would like to make three strung banners. Doodle the banner strings using the Black Dual-Tip Pen.

Canada Day Project Idea of the Day - June 28, 2010

How to create layout:

Use Cement Cardstock as the base for this layout.

Using the CCS Jumbo Wavy Square Pattern (outside of template) and the Red Blade, cut a wavy square from Discover Tone-on-Tone red Paper.  Adhere it to the center of the base.

Using the CCS Jumbo Oval Pattern (outside of template) and the Blue Blade, cut an oval from green paper.  Adhere to the center of the layout.
 
Adhere (3) 4" x 6" photos in an arc across the center of the oval.

Adhere Discover Paper Buttons along the top edge of the oval, some with Tape Runner and some using Foam Squares.

Using the Medium Circle Pattern (inside of template) and the Red Blade, cut a circle from a photo for your title.

Tear 21 pieces of Discover Paper Ribbon, 1/2" in length.  Using Precision Point Adhesive, adhere the ribbon around the edge of the round photo.

Using Foam Squares, adhere the circle to bottom left corner of the layout.

Outline the righthand photo with a Black Fine-tip pen, and journal below photos.

Apply a Discover Title Sticker, and the date using  Simple ABC/123 Stickers in Black.

How to create layout:

Use Clay Cardstock for the base of this layout.

Using the Deckle Rotary Blade, cut 1/4" from each side of the red Discover Designer-Print Paper.  Adhere it to the center of the base.  Position the layout so the tan strips are at the top and bottom borders.

Crop (4) photos to: 5-3/8" x 3-1/4", 2-3/8" x 3-1/4", 3-1/8" x 4-3/8", and 5-3/8" x 3-1/4".  Adhere in an offset grid in the middle of the layout.

Add three Discover Paper Buttons to three of the corners using Foam Squares.

Beginning at the left side of the page, apply Discover Decorative ABC's alphabetically around the photo block. After "Q" add the title in White Simple ABC/123 stickers, then continue with the alphabet all the way to "Z".

Cut 1" of Discover Paper Ribbon and fold into a triangle. Adhere to the bottom left photo as a photo corner.

Using the Circle Maker,cut a 1-1/2" circle from Discover Tone-on-Tone paper and adhere to the layout with Foam Squares.

Journal on the circle.

How to create layout:

Use Cranberry Cardstock for the base.

Using the Rotary Trimmer with the Wavy Blade, cut 1/2" off each side of White Cardstock.  Adhere to the center of the base.  Doodle, using a Fine-tip Black Pen along the edges of the White Cardstock.

Using the CCS Jumbo Circle (inside of template) and the Blue Blade, cut a circle out of Primary Designer-Print red and white paper.  Adhere to the center of the layout.

Cut a smaller circle out of striped paper using the Small Circle Pattern (outside of template) and the Blue Blade.  Adhere over-lapping the larger circle, as shown.  Doodle on edges.

Cut (2) 8-1/4" x 1/2" strips from the stripe paper.  Adhere to the layout in an x, below small circle and over-lapping large one.  Doodle on edges.

Mat a 5" x 4" and a 3-3/4" x 4" photo onto White Cardstock.  Trim, leaving a very thin border and adhere to the layout.

Adhere Paper Tags, journaling strips and title using Swirly ABC/123 Stickers (white).

To make a maple leaf; download a maple leaf template from your computer.  Trace the image on Cranberry Cardstock and cut it out using an All-Purpose Scissors.  Adhere the red leaf to White Cardstock.  Trim around the edges.  Adhere to the layout, using Foam Squares.  Draw lines around the edges.

How to create:
America the Beautiful:
Cut a piece of striped paper to measure 2-1/2" x 12". Cut a piece of blue star patterned paper to measure the same, then using Tearing Tool, tear one edge away from this piece. Adhere to striped paper.

Cut a piece of off-white photo mat to measure 3" x 2-1/4". Cut a piece of striped paper to measure 4" x 3". Adhere off-white piece to center of striped piece. Adhere title sticker to center of off-white piece. Adhere small star stickers to these layers. Adhere these layers to bottom of border using Foam Squares.

Canada Day:
Cut a piece of Red Cardstock to measure 12" x 2-3/4". Cut a piece of White Cardstock to measure 12" x 2-1/4". Adhere white strip to center of red strip.

To create colored letters, first remove solid monogram stickers and set aside for later use (you will not use solid letters for this project). Using scissors, loosely trim around outer edge of monogram outline still left on sticker sheet.  Peel backing away from trimmed piece. Adhere outline of each letter to Red Cardstock paper.  Using scissors, trim around each letter leaving thin border of sticker outline.  Adhere letters to project, alternating method of adhering between Tape Runner and Foam Squares.

Adhere letter stickers (For word DAY) to Red Cardstock. Using scissors, trim around each letter. Adhere each individual letter to border using Foam Squares. Add journaling to finish.

America the Beautiful Border created using Primary 4th of July Additions, Tearing Tool and Foam Squares.

Canada Day Border created using Carstock - Red & White, Simple and Swirly Monogram Stickers, Simple White ABC/123 Stickers, Scissors, Foam Squares and Fine-Tip Pen - Black.
