The Hunt - Traditional Tuesday Scrapbooking Layout

How to Create:

1. Adhere the white Pastel Decorative Cardstock onto Brown Cardstock.
2. Cut a 5-1/2 x 12” piece from the yellow stripe Fabulous Tone-on-Tone Paper and adhere to the right side of the page, vertically.
3. Punch out two borders using the Frame Chain Border Maker Cartridge from a purple pattern Fabulous Tone-on-Tone Paper and adhere to the right edge of the yellow paper. 
4. Cut a 5” circle using the CCS Circle Patterns from the same purple pattern paper, fold Fabulous Paper Ribbon on the back edge of the circle and sew in place. Adhere to the top left side of the page.
5. Frame your focal point photo with White Cardstock. Trim leaving about 1/4” edge around the photo. Adhere to the page using Foam Squares.
6. Place the smaller photos at an angle on the bottom left portion of the page.
7. Add White Simple ABC 123 Stickers and White Swirly Monogram Stickers to make the title. Place it inside the purple circle accent.
8. Place three Fabulous Paper Flowers on the bottom left portion of the page. Using Foam Squares on two of the flowers to give it dimension. Add Divine Epoxy Stickers in the centers of the flowers to finish off the look.
9. Cut a piece of Fabulous Paper Ribbon and place it on the bottom portion of the page. Cut a notch on the right edge and handwrite journaling using the Black Dual-Tip Pen.
10. Add two more clusters of the three Fabulous Paper Flowers in the top left and center right edges of the page.

Easter Project Idea of the Day - April 11, 2010

How to create double layout:

Side 1 of 2:

Use Jewel Easter orange paper for the base of the layout, positioning the stripes to run horizontal.

Use the Tearing Tool, tear an approx. 9-1/2" x 2-1/4" strip of purple paper.  Adhere it approx. 3-1/4" from bottom edge of layout.

Mat a 5-1/4" x 4" photo onto White Cardstock, then onto Espresso Cardstock.  Adhere to layout approx. 1-3/4" from left edge.

Mat (2) 2" x 3" photos onto White Cardstock, then Espresso.  Adhere to layout, over-lapped as shown.

**Crumpled Flowers:  Using the CCS Medium Circle Pattern (inside template) and the Red Blade, cut a circle from Espresso Cardstock.  Using the same Pattern and the Blue Blade, cut a circle from purple paper. 

Using the Small Circle Pattern (inside template) and the Red Blade, cut a circle from orange paper. 

Using the Circle Maker, cut a 1-1/4" circle from Espresso Cardstock.

Crumple up each circle.  Uncrumple, layer and adhere them together, as shown.  Adhere to layout.

Using the Small Circle Pattern (inside template) and the Red Blade, cut a circle from Espresso Cardstock.  With an All-Purpose Scissors, cut an "leaf" shape off from two sides.  Crumple, uncrumple and adhere under edge of flower.

Place the Jumbo Wavy Square on the layout.  Use a pencil to lightly trace the inside to use for journaling.  After ink is dry, erase pencil line.

Apply Title Stickers and egg sticker.  Using a Fine-tip Cocoa Pen, add journaling below purple strip and doodle along side of Title Sticker.

Side 2 of 2:

Use Jewel Easter orange paper for the base of the layout, positioning the stripes to run vertically.

Using the Jumbo Wavy Square (inside template) and the Red Blade, cut a smooth square from purple paper.  Adhere to base paper 1" from right edge and approx. 1-3/4" from top edge.

Mat a 4-3/4" x 4" photo onto White Cardstock, then Espresso Cardstock.  Adhere to layout as shown.  Crop and mat (4) smaller photos in the same manner, tucking egg sticker under photos.

Create 2 additional **Crumpled Flowers following the above instructions.  Adhere to layout, as shown.

Apply Title Stickers.  Using a Fine-tip Cocoa Pen, journal.

How to create layout:

Use the Jewel Easter Additions, orange paper for the base.  Position stripes to be vertical.

Using the CCS Large Circle Pattern (outside of template) and the Red Blade, cut a circle from the purple paper.  Adhere to the base as shown.

Adhere (3) 3" x 5" photos (example was printed with white borders) across center of layout.

Cut a 12" x 2-1/2" strip of purple paper and adhere below photos.

Using a Fine-tip Black Pen, journal on Spargo Ruled Paper, 12" x 1-1/2" and adhere on top of the purple strip.

Apply Title Sticker and tulip sticker.

How to create layout:

Use the orange paper from the Simply Beautiful Power Palette for the base.

Using the Circle Maker, cut (24) 1-1/2" circles from the green paper.

Cut the yellow paper 10" x 10".  Adhere the circles around the back-side edge of the yellow square, then adhere to the center of the base.

Adhere a 5" x 7" photo and (3) 3" x 2" photos as shown.

Using the CCS Wavy Frames, square pattern (outside of the template) and the Red Blade, cut a wavy square from the pink paper.  Adhere it next to the large photo.

Adhere a 10" strip of Simply Beautiful Paper Ribbon across the lower portion of the photo.

Apply the "A Day to Remember" Title Sticker to Lavender Cardstock and trim around it, cutting just below the words.  Adhere it above the ribbon.

Using a Fine-tip Black Pen, journal on the pink paper.  Add stickers, using Foam Squares on the chick and the green egg.

Doodle on the green circles, then crumble the edges.

Easter Project Idea of the Day - April 8, 2010

How to create:

Using the Rotary Deckle Blade, cut the Jewel Easter Additions purple paper 2-3/4" x 11-3/4".

Cut the orange Jewel Easter Additions paper 2-1/2" x 11-1/2", (keep the lines horizontal). 

Using the Deckle Blade, cut a 5-1/4" x 2-1/2" rectangle out of purple paper. 

Apply "The thrill of the hunt!" Title Sticker onto the sticker with flowers, then adhere to the purple rectangle.  Adhere to bottom of border, approx. 1-1/2" from edge.

Cut 2" off from the top of the basket sticker.  Adhere above rectangle, as shown.

Cut bottom portion of flower sticker off and apply below rectangle and apply top portion of flower above the rectangle.

Using a Foam Square, adhere the round, purple flower as shown.

How to create layout:

Using Primary Easter Additions, position the blue paper with the checkered border as shown for the base.

Cut the green paper 4-1/2" x 5-3/4".  Journal using a Fine-tip Black Pen and adhere to the lower right corner of the base.

Cut a strip of yellow paper 5" x 1".  Adhere to a strip of purple paper, using the Deckle Rotary Blade to trim the bottom edge of the purple paper.  Adhere to top edge of the green paper.  Apply the "The Thrill of the Hunt" sticker.

Using the Deckle Rotary Blade on one side, cut a strip of yellow paper 3/4" x 12".  Adhere over-lapping the green paper (vertically) with the deckle edge facing the green paper. 

Adhere (4) photos as shown.

Apply stickers as shown, using Foam Squares behind the front egg and chick stickers.

Easter Project Idea of the Day - April 6, 2010

How to create layout:

Using Simply Beautiful Tone-on-Tone Paper, yellow for the base, cut the purple paper 9-1/2" x 8-1/2" and adhere in the center.

Cut a 12" x 1" strip of green paper and adhere it horizontally across the purple paper, approx. 6-3/4" from top edge.

Adhere a blue photo mat on left side of purple paper, tilted slightly, as shown.

Cut a 12" strip of each Simply Beautiful Paper Ribbons shown and adhere below green paper.

Crop photos and adhere to layout as shown.

Using the Tag Maker, cut tags from pink and orange papers.  Apply Title Stickers and adhere to layout.

Using the CCS Smallest Circle Pattern (inside of template) and the Red Blade, cut 5 circles from a variety of colored papers.  Using the same Circle Pattern with the Green Blade, cut 5 more circles.  Arrange circles as desired and apply Swirly ABC/123 Stickers (white) to spell "Easter Eggs".  Adhere to layout.

Using a computer, journal, cut into strips and adhere to layout.

How to create:

Use White Cardstock for the Base.

Using the CCS Jumbo Circle Pattern (inside of template) and the Blue Blade, cut a circle from Jewel Easter Additions (purple paper).  Adhere it to the base approx. 1/4" from the right edge and 1-1/4" from the top.

Cut a sheet of Harvest Decorative Cardstock-Brick, in half and adhere to the layout as shown.

Cut a second thin circle from the same paper, first using the Blue Blade, then without moving the template, with the Red Blade.  Adhere over the Brick Cardstock.

Mat (3) 2-1/4" x 3" photos onto orange Jewel Easter Additions paper.  Adhere to layout, as shown.

Apply flower stickers and layered Simply Beautiful Paper Flowers as shown.

Using Swirly Monogram Stickers (black), spell "LOVE" above photos.  Using Swirly ABC/123 Stickers (black) spell "Chocolate Eggs".

Apply the "The Glory..." Title Sticker along right side.

Using a Fine-tip Olive Pen, journal along bottom of layout and draw zig-zag "stitches" around solid circle.

Easter Project Idea of the Day - April 4, 2010

How to create:

Use White Cardstock for the base.

Using the Primary Easter Additions, cut a 9-3/4" x 8-1/4" frame from the checkered paper.  Adhere to base approx. 1" from the right edge.

Cut a 8-1/4" x 6-1/4" rectangle from the checkered paper and adhere it 1/8" from the left edge, as shown.

Cut the yellow paper, 7-3/4" x 6", distress edges and adhere over checkered paper.

Cut a 2" x 9-1/4" piece of the blue with flowers paper, leaving on the three checkered rows.  Adhere to left side of layout.

Adhere (2) 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" photos and add title stickers.

Using a Fine-tip Black Pen, journal along side of photos.  Draw a straight line 1/2" from edge of cardstock. 

Adhere layered Simply Beautiful Paper Flowers and egg and chick stickers, using Foam Squares behind the front egg.

How to create:

Using the Rotary Deckle Blade, cut the blue Primary Easter paper 12" x 3-1/2", keeping one row of square border at the bottom.

Cut the yellow paper with the egg border 2-1/2" wide until the egg with the chick on it, then cut around as shown.  Adhere to the blue paper.

Using Foam Squares, adhere egg and chick stickers.

Apply "Egg-citement" Title Sticker.
