Graduation Project Idea of the Day - May 21, 2010

How to create graduation border:

Cut Black & White Graduation Addition black pattern paper 12" x 2-1/4".

Using the Rotary Wavy Blade (on all four sides), cut Brick Cardstock 11-1/2" x 1-3/4".  Adhere to the center of the base.

Using the CCS Largest Oval Pattern (inside of template) and the Red Blade, cut an oval out of the black pattern paper.  Cut a second oval out of Brick Cardstock using the Green Blade.  Adhere the Brick oval to the black oval, then adhere to the center of the border, using Foam Squares.

Apply the graduation gown sticker and the star border sticker, as shown.

Using the CCS second smallest Oval Pattern (inside of template) and the Red Blade, cut (2) ovals out of the white pattern paper.  Center the template over a graduation hat on the black pattern paper, and cut (2) ovals out using the Green Blade.  Adhere to the center of the white ovals, then adhere to the border, as shown.

Adhere Black & White Paper Flowers.  Apply star stickers in the center of the larger flowers.

Graduation Project Idea of the Day - May 20, 2010

How to create card:

Cut White Cardstock 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", for the base.  Score at 4-1/4".  The fold will be on the left side of the card.

Cut black pattern paper 4" x 3-1/4".  Adhere on the lower half of the card, leaving approx. 1/8" border.

Cut white pattern paper 4" x 2".  Adhere to the top portion of the card, leaving a 1/8" border.

Using the Rotary Wavy Blade on one side, cut a 4" x 1/2" strip of White Cardstock.  Adhere the wavy side down, over the seam of the white and black papers.

Apply congratulations sticker on White Cardstock strip.

Using Foam Squares, adhere the additional sticker.

How to create Graduation Layout:

Use Black & White Graduation Addition white ruled paper for the base.

Print (2) 4" x 6" photos.

Cut two pieces of Butter Cardstock, 4-1/2" x 6-1/2".  Adhere photos to Butter Cardstock.

Adhere the left photo to the page first.

Cut Paper Ribbon 7" long.  Adhere the sticker to the ribbon, then adhere the ribbon to the page, as shown.

Using the CCS Small Circle Pattern, (outside of template) and the Blue Blade, cut a circle from Green Apple Cardstock.  Adhere to the page, tucking the left edge under the first photo.

Adhere the right photo to the layout.

Apply Title Sticker.

Journal, using a Fine-tip Black Pen.

Layer Paper Flowers and adhere to the layout.

How to create Graduation Border: 

Cut Black & White Graduation Additions black pattern paper 12" x 2-1/4".

Cut the white pattern paper 11-3/4" x 2".  Using the Corner Maker, round all four corners.  Adhere to the center of the black base.

Cut a 9-3/4" x 1" strip of Gold Cardstock.  Round the corners and adhere to the white paper, approx. 1/4" from the right edge, as shown.

Using Simple ABC/123 Stickers (black) spell out "Commencement 2012" on Gold Cardstock.

Layer two Black & White Paper Flowers and adhere to the left end of the Gold Cardstock.  Apply the sticker to the center of the flowers.

Create border using:

How to create layout:

Use Black & White Graduation Additions, white paper with tassel for the base of this layout.

Using the Tearing Tool, tear the black paper with foil stars 2-1/2" x 12".  Adhere to right side of base.

Using an All-Purpose Scissors, cut around the bottom part of the tassel.  Place the ruled photo mat under and adhere.

Mat a 6" x 4" photo onto a black photo mat.  Adhere to layout.

Crop (5) 2" x 2" photos.  Adhere as shown.

Using a Fine-tip Black Pen, journal and add stickers, as shown.

How to create border:

Cut White Cardstock 12" x 2-1/4" for the base.

Cut the black pattern paper 11-3/4" x 2".  Adhere to the center of the base.

Cut Brick Cardstock 12" x 1".  Adhere on the center of the border.

Cut a 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" piece of White Cardstock.  Fold in half, a little off, so it lookes like a newspaper.  Put Foam Squares between the two halves.  Apply the Black & White Title Sticker "News Flash!" and adhere to the left side of the border. 

Using Simple ABC/123 White Stickers, spell "NATE GRADUATES!"

How to create graduation card:

Cut White Cardstock to measure 11" x 4-1/4". Score at 5-1/2".  The fold will be on the left side.

Cut black pattern paper 5-1/4" x 4-1/4" and adhere to the White Cardstock base.

Cut the notebook looking paper to 5” x 3-1/2".  Adhere to the black paper.
 
Adhere the star border sticker to the left side of card.  Adhere the 2010 number stickers from the Black & White Graduation Additions.

Using Black Simple ABC/123 Stickers, spell the word GRAD and adhere to card.

Apply the Graduation cap and scroll stickers as shown.

How to create layout:

Use black with foil stars paper for the base of this layout.

Cut Cranberry Cardstock 8" x 10".  Adhere to the base 3/4" from top and even with right side.

Cut top portion of the white printed paper 12" x 5-1/2".  Using an All-Purpose Scissors, cut around the right side of the tassel.  Tuck the left side of a 6" x 4" photo into the slit and adhere to the paper.  Adhere paper to layout, approx. 3" from top. 

Adhere a 4" x 6" photo to black photo mat.  Adhere to layout at right side of other photo.

Journal on the Cranberry Cardstock.

Apply stickers and Simple ABC/123 Black Stickers for the year.

Graduation Project Idea of the Day - May 13, 2010

How to create card:

Using White Cardstock for the base, cut 5-1/2" x 11". Score at 5-1/2" and fold to make your 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" card.

Using a sheet of “decorative word” cardstock from the Black & White Graduation Additions, cut a 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece and adhere it to the white base.

NOTE: All pieces and parts for Creative Memories Shape Maker people work best when adhered using Precision Point Adhesive. For any extra "spilled" glue, use a Creative Memories Pick Up Square for cleanup on your project.

Using the Tag Maker, punch a tag shape from French Vanilla Cardstock for body base.

Using the Circle Maker, punch large circle shape from French Vanilla Cardstock. Adhere to top of French Vanilla tag for head.  Using Scallop Circle “tiny circle trash” in French Vanilla cardstock, adhere two tiny circles to the back of head for ears. 

For the graduation robe, using the Tag Maker, punch a tag shape from Black Cardstock and adhere onto the French Vanilla tag.  

Punch one Butter circle from the Circle Maker for hair.  Trim one large football shape and one small football shape for bangs and hair and adhere to head.

Doodle the eyes, nose, and mouth as shown using the Black Fine-tip Pen.

Adhere the graduation cap sticker to the boy’s head from the Black & White Graduation Additions.

Using the “Diploma” sticker from the Black & White Graduation Additions, mount the sticker on a 2-1/4" x 1-3/4" Cranberry piece of cardstock.

Adhere graduation boy and diploma as shown.
 
Using Black Simple ABC/123 Stickers adhere the words “atta boy”.

Graduation Project Idea of the Day - May 12, 2010

How to create double layout:

Use 2 sheets of Cactus Cardstock for the base.

Cut (2) 12" x 3" strips of white with writing pattern paper.  Adhere across the bottom of each side.

For the left side of the double layout:  Cut a 6" x 8-3/4" piece of white with writing pattern paper.  Adhere it to Black Cardstock.  Trim, leaving only a very thin border.  Adhere to Yellow Cardstock.  Trim, leaving only a very thin border.  Adhere to the layout, approx. 1/4" from left edge.

Crop (2) photos 5-1/4" x 3-1/2".  Adhere to 5-1/2" x 7-1/4" Black Cardstock.  Adhere to the center of the white, matted paper.

Mat a 5-1/4" x 3-3/4" photo onto Yellow Cardstock.  Trim, leaving a very thin border.  Adhere to a 6-1/4" x 4-1/4" black photo mat, then to Yellow Cardstock.  Trim, leaving a very thin border.  Adhere matted photo to layout.

Using Foam Squares, apply diploma and hat sticker.  Apply a star sticker.

Using Black Sophisticate ABC/123 and Sophisticate Monogram Stickers, spell "Class of '09" on layout. 

For the right side of the double layout:  Cut a 12" x 4-1/4" piece of black with foil stars paper.  Adhere to Yellow Cardstock.  Trim, leaving only a very thin border.  Adhere to layout approx. 1-3/4" from bottom.

Journal on a lined photo mat.  Adhere above photos, tucking the bottom behind the photos.

Using Foam Squares, apply the book sticker.  Apply other stickers, as shown.

Create double layout using:
