Pet Project Idea of the Day - July 10, 2009

Create this adorable way to keep track of pet feedings at your house.  Everyone will want to help out with the chores with this fun system!

How to create:
Cover entire background of board. To do this, cut piece of blue patterned paper into four strips that measure 12" x 4".  Lay strips along each edge of display board. Lay gold patterned paper in center of board. This should leave you with the display board fully covered - gold square in the center with a blue border around.

Adhere calendar page along right edge of board as shown. Create day titles and pet name title strips, then adhere to board as shown.

Using Circle Maker, punch several small and large circle shapes from both blue and gold papers. Layer and adhere together to create "markers" to adhere to calendar.

Create hanging pocket using Large Memorabilia Pocket, decorated with stickers and word strips created using ABC/123 Stickers, paper and scissors. Affix pocket to ribbon using mini clothespins.

Pet Project idea of the Day - July 9, 2009

A two-page spread idea to capture all those cute puppy moments!

How to create page 1:
Using Custom Cutting System with Circle Patterns, cut (for this cut, use outside of largest circle template with green blade) circle from Spiced Cider Cardstock. Doodle along edges of this circle, then use a ruler to draw uneven journaling lines. Adhere to page in lower left corner.

Using Tearing Tool, tear strip of patterned paper to measure 12" x approximately 2".  Lightly sand edges of this piece, then adhere along left edge of page.

Print and trim two photos, one measuring 6" x 4" and the other measuring 4" square. Cut gold patterned paper to measure 6-1/4" X 4-1/4" and a second piece from the same paper to measure 4-1/8" square. Lightly sand edges of each piece, then adhere photos to them. Adhere matted photos to page.

Adhere heart sticker to page, then add journaling to finish.

 

How to create page 2:

Using Tearing Tool, tear a strip from blue patterned paper to measure 12" x approximately 3-1/2". Adhere across center of Spiced Cider Decorative Cardstock.  Using scissors, trim away excess blue paper to form scallop shapes along edges. Lightly sand edges of this layer.

Print and trim two photos, one to measure 4" x 6" and one to measure 4" square. Cut a piece of gold patterned paper to measure 4-1/4" x 6-1/4". Cut a piece of blue patterned paper to measure 4-1/4" square.  Lightly sand edges of these pieces, then add photos to them. Add photos to these pieces, then adhere to page.

Adhere stickers to page to finish.

A fun page border idea for you!

How to create:
Cut a piece of Clay Cardstock to measure 12" x 2-1/2".  Cut a piece of Brown Cardstock to measure 1-1/2". Adhere to clay strip, approximately 1/4" from top.

Using Circle Maker, punch 10 small circle shapes from Brown Cardstock. Adhere along bottom edge of border as shown, trimming one in half and adhering each half along ends, then trimming away any excess.

Cut a piece of blue patterned paper to measure 12" x 1-1/2". Lightly sand edges of this strip. Adhere to border as shown.

Print and trim photo to measure 3-3/4" x 2-1/2". Cut a piece of White Cardstock to measure 4" x 2-3/4". Adhere photo to center of white piece. Adhere these layers to border as shown.

Adhere heart sticker to upper left corner of photo. Create journaling strips by writing words onto gold paper, then trim around using scissors.  Lightly sand edges of each word, then adhere to photo as shown.

Pet Project Idea of the Day - July 7, 2009

Your four-legged family members love to be shown front and center on your pages - so here's an adorable page layout idea!

How to create:
Cut a piece of blue patterned paper to measure 11" square. Adhere to full sheet of 12 x 12 Black Carstock.

Using Tearing Tool, tear a piece of gold patterned paper to measure 12" x approximately 3". Adhere along right edge of page.

Cut a strip of checkered paper from Earthy Power Palette Additions to measure 12" x 1". Using scissors, make tiny slits along one long edge of this piece, approximately 1/2" apart.  Using fingertips, gently curl back the cut edge of this piece. Add doodling along this piece as shown. Drag Round-Tip Marker along straight edge of this piece. Adhere along right edge of page.

Print and trim photo to measure 8-1/2" x 8" (NOTE: you will need to print an 8 x 10 photo and trim). Adhere to page as shown. Print and trim second photo to measure 3" X 2". Cut a piece of checkered paper to measure 3-1/4" x 2-1/4". Adhere photo to this piece. Adhere these layers to lower left corner of page.

Using scissors, trim dog bone shape from patterned paper. Adhere to lower left corner of page just above small photo. Doodle along edges of this piece. Adhere letter stickers to bone to spell dog's name.

Adhere dog prints to White Cardstock. Trim cardstock around stickers, then adhere to dog bone.

Create journaling strips by printing (or writing) directly on to French Vanilla Cardstock, then trim out using scissors.  Lightly ink distress the edges of each strip using Round-Tip Pen. Adhere strips to page to finish.

Pet Project Idea of the Day - July 6, 2009

Here's an adorable journal box that comes together in minutes, yet adds tons of cuteness to your pages!

How to create:
Cut a piece of Whitle Ruled paper to measure 3-1/2" square.  Cut a piece of blue paper to measure 3-3/4" square. Cut a piece of gold paper to measure 4" square. Lightly sand edges of blue and gold pieces, then layer and adhere as shown.

Adhere title sticker and paw print stickers as shown. Using scissors, trim away edges of paw print stickers.

Pet Project Idea of the Day - July 5, 2009

Create these adorable tags for use on pages - and if you adore dogs more than cats, just switch the sayings!

How to create:
Using Tag Maker, punch tag shapes from  blue and gold papers. Punch two additional shapes from White Cardstock. Adhere white cardstock tags to backside of each colored tag.  Lightly sand along edges of each colored tag.

Adhere cat sticker to blue tag and dog sticker to gold tag. Using scissors, trim excess sticker away from edge of tag.

Adhere letter stickers to papers, then trim around each word using scissors.  LIghtly sand edges of each piece, then sand edges of each letter to lightly distress. Adhere words to tags.

Cut strips of colored paper, then lightly sand edges of each piece and adhere along top of tag as shown.

Pet Project Idea of the Day - July 4, 2009

This adorable treat tin makes a great gift, or the perfect way to store your favorite friend's treats!

How to create:
Measure, cut and adhere designer print paper onto the tin with your tape runner. 

Use the circle maker to make a notch in the paper to fit around the latch. Trim a strip of coordinating paper (any width you choose) and adhere around the bottom of the tin. 

Apply the dog, food bowl and paw print sticker to white cardstock and trim out with scissors 

Apply the pup and food bowl to the front of the tin with foam squares. Tie the paw print tag to the handle with raffia. Place Pampered Pet sticker to the bottom front of the tin. 

Fill with a Puppy Treat and you’re all set for gift giving!
