Thanksgiving Project Idea of the Day-November 14, 2009

Use a Spice of Life Paper Album Kit to hi-light your holiday with your family. 

How to create:

Place yellow patterned paper on the left hand side of the 2 page spread.

Cut a strip from the orange patterned paper to measure 1-1/8" x 6-1/2". Place horizontally on the upper portion of the yellow patterned paper.

Cut purple patterned paper to measure 2" x 4-1/2". Adhere to layout as shown.

Cut yellow patterned paper to measure 1-3/4" x 4-1/4".  Adhere to top of purple patterned paper as shown. 

Add clear title sticker to the top of the yellow patterned paper, and then epoxy stickers as shown. 

Place orange floral patterned paper on the right hand side of the two page spread. 

Cut yellow patterned paper to measure 4-1/4" x 4-1/4".  Adhere to layout as shown.

Cut orange patterned paper to measure 4" x 4". Adhere to the top of the yellow patterned paper as shown.

Add rectangle epoxy sticker to the right side of box as shown.

Run fingernail under each piece of paper to give the layout a dimensional effect.

Pass the book around to each of your guests asking them to write what they are thankful for this year!

After the Holiday, print photos and add to the rest of the book!

Thanksgiving Project Idea of the Day-November 13, 2009

How to create:

Cut Cement Cardstock so it measures 8-1/2"x 5-1/2".

Score card with scoring rotary blade so it measures 4-1/4" x 5-1/2".

Cut Spiced Cider Cardstock to 3-1/2"x5 ".

Center Spiced Cider Cardstock on top of Cement Cardstock and adhere.

Punch six 1-1/2" squares from assorted patterned paper using the Square Maker. Adhere to Spiced Cider Cardstock as shown.

Layer pumpkins and corn husks stickers together as shown. Add Foam Squares to top of scarecrow sticker and adhere on top of corn husks.

Add clear title sticker on bottom of card over stickers. Add leaves to squares.

How to create:

Cut Spiced Cider Cardstock to measure 5-1/2" x 8-1/2".

Using Rotary Trimmer and scoring blade, score at 4-1/4". Fold card in half.

Cut Cactus Cardstock to measure 4" x 5-1/4". Adhere to front of card.

Cut orange patterned paper to measure 3-3/4" x 5". Adhere to top of Cactus Cardstock.

Cut edge piece of Decorative Cardstock to measure 3-3/4". Add to card as shown.

Cut strip of Brown Cardstock to measure 1/2" x 4". Adhere to top of Decorative Cardstock as shown.

Cut (to make this cut, use the inside of the large oval and the green blade) oval from Cement Cardstock. Add to card as shown using Foam Squares.

Cut (to make this cut, use the inside of the large oval and the blue blade) oval from brown cardstock.  Adhere to card as shown using Foam Squares.

Add Stickers as shown.

Add Swirly Brown ABC/123 Stickers for title.

Thanksgiving Project Idea of the Day-November 11, 2009

Here is a clever way to make inexpensive, yet classy napkin rings for your Thanksgiving table.

How to create:

Cut Espresso Cardstock to measure 1-1/8" x 6".

Cut a piece of Jewel Paper Ribbon to measure 6 inches in length.  Adhere to the cardstock strip. 

Adhere the ends together to make a circle.

Place either a paper or cloth napkin in the ring.

Thanksgiving Project Idea of the Day-November 10, 2009

How to create:

Use Spiced Cider Cardstock as the base for this layout. 

Cut green patterned paper to measure 11-1/2" x 11-1/2".  Crumple up in your hand, and then flatten out and run sand paper over the top of entire piece of paper.  Adhere to top of Spiced Cider Cardstock.

Cut nine squares to measure 3" x 3" from Brown Cardstock.  Place in grid formation on green patterned paper. 

Cut nine squares to measure 2-3/4" x 2-3/4".  Crumple and smoothe out by running sand paper over the top of each square.  Adhere to the tops of the Brown Cardstock Squares imperfectly! 

Print and cut eight photos to measure 2-1/4" x 2-1/4".  Adhere to top of each square at an imperfect angle. 

"Doodle" with Cocoa Pen along outer edges of each square, as well as journal along outer edges.  Run cocoa pen along outer edge of green patterned paper as well. 

Cut (to make this cut use inside of the medium circle template with red blade) circle using the green paper.  Run sand paper along outer edges.  Adhere to the middle square. 

Place Simple Brown ABC/123 stickers on yellow paper.  Cut out.  Run sand paper lightly over the tops of the letters.  Adhere to top of circle using Foam Squares. 

Using Sweetheart Maker, punch a heart from the Brick Cardstock.  Adhere the smaller inside heart to the middle square using Foam Squares.

How to create this card:

Cut Cement Cardstock to measure 8" x 8". 

Use scoring blade on Rotary Trimmer, and score at 4".  Fold card in half.

Cut orange patterned paper to measure 4" x 6" Adhere to front of card.

Cut a piece from the Decorative Cardstock to measure 1-1/4" x 4".  Adhere to front of card as shown. 

Place Jewel Paper Ribbon to measure 4 inches in length on a piece of Brown Cardstock.  Trim on each side to leave an 1/8" border.  Adhere to front of card as shown. 

Using Circle Maker, punch 3 larger circles from Brick Cardstock. 

Using Circle Maker, punch 3 smaller circles from green patterned paper.  Layer on top of Brick Cardstock, and adhere to card as shown, using Foam Squares. 

Adhere Leaf Stickers to the center of each circle using Foam Squares. 

Add title to card using Swirly Brown ABC/123 Stickers.

Create this card to send to your family members that are far away this Holiday season.

How to create:

Cut Brick Cardstock to measure 4-1/4" x 11". 

Use scoring blade on Rotary Trimmer to score fold of card at 5-1/2".  Fold card in half. 

Cut orange pattern paper to measure 4" x 5-1/4".  Adhere to front of card. 

Cut piece from Spiced Cider Decorative Cardstock to measure 1-1/4" x 4".  Adhere to card as shown.

Cut piece from Cactus Cardstock 3" x 3-3/4".  Adhere to front of card as shown. 

Cut square from 1-3/4"x 1-3/4" from Brick Cardstock.  Adhere to front of card as shown. 

Add stickers as shown, using Foam Squares. 

Use Cocoa Pen to make dashes along outer edge of Cactus Cardstock.

Cut piece from yellow patterned paper to measure 4" x 5-1/4".  Adhere to the inside of the card.

Thanksgiving Project Idea of the Day-November 7, 2009

How to create:

Use Brown Decorative Cardstock for the base of this layout. 

Using orange photo mat, place in the center of the layout horizontally with Foam Squares. 

Cut the Leaves Border Stickers to 6-1/2", and adhere to the lower portion of orange mat as shown. 

Add Sophisticate and Simple Brown ABC/123 Stickers to orange mat as shown for title.

Cut random sizes of rectangles from the green paper.  Mat two rectangles on the purple patterned paper. 

Use Sand Paper to sand edges of rectangles.  Adhere to layout as shown. 

Run fingernail under outer edges of paper to give the layout dimension. 

Add stickers as shown. 

Pass around to your family and friends that spend the Holiday with you to jot down what they are thankful for this year.  Place in your album to look back at for years to come.

How to create place cards for your Thanksgiving table:

Ella:

Cut Brown Cardstock to measure 4"x6". 

Use Scoring Blade on the Rotary Trimmer, and score at 3".  Fold in half.

cut orange patterned paper to measure 2-3/4"x3-3/4".  Sand Edges.  Adhere to front side on Brown Cardstock. 

Add Leaf Stickers as shown, placing 2 on the front with Foam Squares. 

Add name on front using Sophisticate Brown Stickers.  Run sandpaper lightly over the tops of the letters.

"Rob":  

Cut Brown Cardstock to meausre 4" x 6".  

Using Scoring Blade and Rotary Trimmer, score at 3".  Fold card in half.

Cut green patterned paper to measure 2-3/4"x 3-3/4".  Sand edges using Sand Paper.  Adhere to front of card. 

Place corner Leaf Stickers on outer edges, allowing the leaves to hang off the edges. 

Add rectangle sticker to the card using Foam Squares. 

Add the name to the rectangle sticker using Sophisticate Brown ABC/123 Stickers.  Run sand paper over letters lightly.

Thanksgiving Project Idea of the Day-November 5, 2009

 Pass a jar around your Thanksgiving table, and have each family member jot down what they are thankful for!

How to create: 

Wrap strip of orange patterned paper 1 inch wide around outside of jar. 

Measure and cut a piece of Jewel Paper Ribbon around outside, while putting the ends of the ribbon through the holes of a Jewel Paper Frame, and loosely tie into a knot. 

Add Brown Sophisticate ABC/123 stickers to Jewel Paper Tag as shown. 

Ask your guests/family/friends to write what they are thankful for on the Jewel Storyboxes, and place in the jar. 

Save from year to year to look back at what you were thankful for!  ...or possible add these storyboxes to a layout about Thanksgiving at your house.
